Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron of France added another chapter to one of figure skating's most compelling revivals on Monday night, winning the rhythm dance at the Milano Cortina Olympics in only their fifth international event.
“Mr. and Mrs. America,” Madison Chock and Evan Bates, have done it again. The power couple and dynamic ice dancing duo proved their status as gold medal favorites in the team figure skating ice dance free skate with yet another dominant performance.
Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko have been skating together since 2014, after Ponomarenko’s mother, Olympic champion ice dancer Marina Klimova, thought they would be a good match while seeing Carreira skate in Lake Placid, New York.
